Make quotations and samples easier to compare

A useful sourcing brief states what you want to order, which changes you need and where the products will be sold. These notes help procurement teams and founders compare quotations, record sample decisions and prepare an order with a clear scope.

Begin with SKU references, quantities per product and color, your destination market and the required packaging. Separate changes to an existing item from a new construction that needs development. Ask how material, branding and packaging choices affect the minimum quantity and sample work rather than assuming one quotation covers every option.

Compare unit prices together with sample costs, artwork or tooling charges, packing details and freight arrangements. Request the packed dimensions, carton contents and proposed sample and production schedules. Confirm which documents are available for the selected product and market.

Use the sample approval guide to record material, construction, appearance and packaging decisions. Agree the approved version, payment terms and delivery arrangements before placing the order. You can organize the initial questions with our inquiry checklist and send your brief when the essentials are ready.
